CURRENT CHAMPIONS | HALL OF FAME | HOST STADIUMS
This game is the culmination of a 24-team single-team elimination tournament and the champions from 11 conferences receive automatic bids with 13 at-large spots and the top 8 receive first round byes. A team must have 7 wins to get one of the at-large spots. Only the Ivy League (due to academic reasons), Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) and Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) do not play in the Division I Playoffs.
