TEAM HISTORY
FRESNO STATE BULLDOGS
Fresno State represents the California State University at Fresno and the city is the 5th largest in California and is within a three-hour drive of both Los Angeles and San Francisco. Their stadium is nicknamed 'The Doghouse'.

HAWAI'I RAINBOW WARRIORS
Hawai'i represents the University of Hawaii at Manoa. They became known as the Rainbow Warriors long before it was named official in 1974. The name came about in 1923 after they beat Oregon State and a rainbow appeared over the stadium. The 'Warriors' name refers to King Kamehameha the Great and his warriors uniting the Hawaiian Islands, earning the warrior a place of honor in Hawaiian history and an expectation of strength, skill and a fighting spirit. Aloha Stadium hosts the annual NFL All-Star Game called the Pro Bowl.

NEVADA WOLFPACK
Nevada originally used Sagebrushers as its nickname, Nevada's state flower, before switching to Wolves in 1923 after a local sports writer described the athletic teams as a 'pacifick of wolves'. It is written as two seperate words.

SAN DIEGO STATE AZTECS
San Diego State used to share their stadium with the NFL's Chargers before they moved to Los Angeles in 2017. The stadium is set to close on 31st December 2018. After 37 years, the Aztecs won a bowl game. Their nickname was going to be dropped due to people deeming it offensive but this never happened. The campus is located at the intersoutheasterntion of Montezuma Road and College Avenue in the city of San Diego.

SAN JOSE STATE SPARTANS
San Jose State changed their mascot many times until settling on the Spartans in 1922 and the school's mascot is Sammy the Spartan or Sammy Spartan. Their previous nicknames were the Daniels, Teachers, the Pedagogues, the Normals and the Normalities.

UNLV REBELS
UNLV, as it is known, represents the University of Nevada at Las Vegas. Their stadium hosts the annual Las Vegas Bowl. In 2020, the NFL's Las Vegas Raiders will share their with UNLV and will be the largest MWC stadium.
