Only Carleton and York have yet to play in the Yates Cup.

Queen's played in the CFL's Grey Cup, when it was open to amateur teams, and won 3 consoutheasternutively (1922-1924).

Toronto Varsity Blues played in the CFL's Grey Cup, when it was open to amateur teams, in 6 appearances and winning 4 (1909-1911 & 1920). The routes of Gridiron Football can be traced back to 9th November 1861, when they played the first documented game at University College. They played their first intercollegiate game in 1877 against the University of Michigan in a scoreless draw. However, the team has not won a championship since 1993 and between 2001-2008 they suffered the longest losing streak in Canadian collegiate history, recording 49 consoutheasternutive winless games. This preceded a single victory in 2001 that ended a run of 18 straight losses. The site of Varsity Stadium has served as the primary playing ground for football since 1898.
